Wibax, recognized as one of Sweden’s Best Managed Companies for the fourth consecutive year is now expanding its procurement team and looking to add two Strategic Purchasers. 

About the role
This is a business-critical position where you will lead complex international business, with price, availability, and long-term partnerships all playing a crucial role in the outcome. Procurement is a central function at Wibax, ensuring a reliable supply of raw materials across the group. You will be part of a team of around ten colleagues and contribute to strengthening our ability to deliver high-quality raw materials at competitive price.

Wibax sources approximately 500,000 tonnes of chemicals annually on the global market. As a Strategic Purchaser, you will monitor and analyze supplier markets, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive initiatives that strengthen our businesses. Your responsibilities include developing and implementing procurement strategies, supplier negotiations and contract agreements, planning deliveries, and building strong, long-term supplier relationships. The role offers a high level of autonomy and the mandate to make an impact.

The position can be located in our offices in Piteå, Stockholm or be performed remotely. Travel is part of the role, both within Sweden and internationally. You will report to the Purchasing Director.

About you
We believe you bring solid experience from procurement and/or sales, ideally within an international environment. You hold a university degree or have developed equivalent competence through hands‑on experience. Experience from the energy sector, bio-oils, or other process industries, where business is driven by volume, logistics, and international flows is highly meritorious.

You thrive in a cross-functional setting and enjoy collaborating with stakeholders both internally and externally. As a person, you are a team player with a strong result focus and a natural ability to build long-term relationships and business partnerships. You are confident navigating complex business situations where relationships, trust, and timing are key to success. You are also comfortable influencing and driving discussions in a professional and constructive way.

You have strong skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and are fluent in Swedish or Finnish, as well as English, both spoken and written. Additional language skills, such as German or Dutch, are considered meritorious.
